There’s one person in the glitzy world of celebrities who doesn’t mind wielding the megaphone to announce his good deeds. Hrithik Roshan believes by advertising one’s charitable efforts you can set an example for others to follow. So when Hrithik donated a school bus for special children, he invited the media to be part of it. He doesn’t believe in holding back, neither in the coverage nor in the giving. Hrithik is actively involved with Mumbai-based Dilkhush Special School for mentally-challenged children. Learning from his own experiences of stammering as a child, Hrithik also works for a charitable foundation that helps challenged people who find it difficult to face the world. Hrithik’s the superhero for children and young adults who stammer or have stunted social skills.

Here is a link to Satyamev Jayate // episode 1 (6th May 2012) with english subtitles. This episode focused on Female Foeticide.
Daughters Are Precious: Female Foeticide. Large-scale killing of girls before birth has led to a serious gender imbalance in the Indian population, and severe social problems as a result.
This show is truly something else. The initiative he took in creating this show to call upon such controversial topics is truly admirable. I recommend everyone to watch this. Not just should we admire Aamir for his outreach, but we must be a part of the result of this show: awareness.

College has been keeping me pretty busy so I haven’t gotten the motivation to come on here. But I had to reblog this just in case anyone wanted to tell me where I can get one:

Yes, I’m serious.

Hrithik Ji, yes….”Ji” because my respect and awe for him has gone to the point where I feel that calling him by his full name would be disrespectful and calling him Mr.Roshan would just seem too formal/awkward. I don’t want to dwell on comments such as “he’s so gorgeous, overwhelmingly godly” because that has been LONG established. He embodies perfection because of his extent and versatility of great acting, his heart of gold, his politeness and modesty, and the respect and kindness he gives to EVERYBODY. Although so many claim to have this status, he’s a true titleholder of “a great human being.” I’m not a fan of idolizing celebrities because we only know them to a certain extent, but if there is any person who epitomizes idolatry, it’s Hrithik for me. And I’m sure he would think of me being overly palaverous of his accomplishments and qualities, and would want me to resume my Chemistry studies right now :P

2 reasons for why this is my song of the week:
1.) KUMAR SANU IS BACK!
2.) And it’s a duet with Shreya Ghoshal!
Now that’s a combination I never thought Bollywood would create. The song reminds me of Bollywood classics, love it! I repeat, KUMAR SANU IS BACK (:

If this is true…it’s too much. Hahaha, why India? Why? Alright, maybe I’ll accept Ranbir Kapoor, but the concept? Really? hahahaha.
MUMBAI: Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly signed the remake of Twilight titled ‘Bloody Veer’.
Going through the script, apparently the ‘Rockstar’ actor is very excited about his role. ‘Bloody Veer’ is to be a light-hearted funky venture about hip youngsters and a gang of friends. It’s a fun…

This video is an ad for Bangaldesh’s Grameen Phone. Probably one the sweetest ads I have ever seen. The innocence of the child is adorable and I love how its centered around the village atmosphere. For those who don’t understand it, it shows a mom writing a bunch of things on a paper for her son to take with him when he reaches the village phone. He is supposed to read all the things to his dad, who is far away for work. On the way to the phone, he gets occupied with a game with his friends and he goes through myriad obstacles to reach his destination. Once he reaches the ‘phone booth’, he is drenched because it had started raining, yet his eyes gleams with excitement when he hear’s his dad’s voice on the phone. When he takes out his mom’s note, turns out it got smudged on the way and says “awh, it washed away daddy” :( Then the mom gets Grameen Phone and they can talk to him from home :D I just really love the concept and it makes me feel all “aww” (:
